Chicago Fire FC secured a 2-0 victory over CF Montréal at Stade Saputo, improving their season record to 9-9-5. Hugo Cuypers scored the opener in the 13th minute after a setup by Leonardo Barroso, notching his 13th goal of the season. Jack Elliott added a second goal early in the second half, heading in a corner kick from Philip Zinckernagel, who tied the MLS record for most consecutive road matches with a goal contribution. The Fire dominated the match offensively and capitalized on key opportunities to take control.

Despite late efforts from CF Montréal, who created several scoring chances deep into stoppage time, Fire goalkeeper Chris Brady made four crucial saves to preserve the clean sheet—his second of the season.
