Chicago Fire loses at home again D.C United

Chicago Fire FC and D.C. United played a competitive match that stayed scoreless through the first half, despite both teams creating chances. Chicago had more of the ball and looked slightly more dangerous, but D.C. held firm defensively, even having an early goal overturned after a review. The game remained balanced and tense heading into halftime.

The breakthrough finally came late in the second half when Hugo Cuypers scored from the penalty spot to give Chicago a 1–0 lead. However, D.C. United quickly responded just minutes later, with Matti Peltola finding the equalizer and shifting momentum toward the visitors. Chicago struggled to regain control after conceding.
